The dreamiest sunset family session that you have ever seen...
So lets talk about location first. This session was photographed at the end of August in Scarborough Bluffs. If you never been to the Bluffs - this is your next location for your photoshoot. Its absolutely beautiful in the Summer and Fall and is perfect for Maternity, Family and Engagement Photography. This location is easy to get to, its about 10 minute walk from the parking lot and is stroller friendly so you can bring your little ones to the session. We chose a Friday evening as weekends are generally packed there and will be filled with other families and photographers chasing this beautiful light.
The time was 6:30 when we started, sun was just peaking over the mountain so we had a beautiful back glow. I love to shoot during sunny days for this back glow effect and this turned out better than anticipated. The tones were very soft and natural, and their outfits were planned and selected carefully to achieve this type of result. Opt in for neutral outfits like whites and creams for this type of session and combine different fabrics like linen, cotton, partial knits to achieve beautiful cohesive yet versatile outfit looks for the entire family.
